We love wine, food and wine with food. Our menu changes frequently to show various pairing possibilities. Just like in winemaking where you must have great grapes to potentially make great wine, we know the starting quality of the food has lots to do with the flavors and pleasures they deliver – and we’re big believers in pleasure.
Our fish is brought in fresh and whole. We wet age and hand cut our beef. Our fruits and vegetables are all fresh and as local as possible. We smoke our own salmon. From pickles to pasta, we do a lot of it here.
Are we a “gastro-pub”? No, in that we don’t serve beer. Yes, in that we offer “an atmosphere that welcomes lounging over drinks and foods for longer periods than what we’ve come to expect from a ‘restaurant’.” Here, the drinks are wines and wine cocktails (we do a killer “Fevered Mule” using white wine and Fever Tree Ginger Beer, and our version of a Cosmopolitan using our rosé, among others), soft drinks and fancy coffees. And the food is more considered. Over the years we’ve attained a reputation for stellar eats and wines. What we don’t do is hurry you. We invite you to relax, spend awhile and enjoy.

We do private dinner parties by special arrangement, and catering for in-house events such as Rehearsal Dinners, Wedding Receptions and Business Dinners. Please see our Parties and Rentals section.

We’re kid and dog friendly most times, except as noted for Jazz Sundays and some special events. Leashed dogs, please. Please keep kids in hand so the adults don’t spill their wine.
